Every two years, the Ernst Toller Gesellschaft awards the Ernst Toller Prize in collaboration with its home city of Neuburg an der Donau and the Neuburg Lions Club to honor a special achievements in the interface between literature and politics. The Ernst Toller Prize is endowed with €5,000 award.
Since 2023, the jury has consisted of Dieter Distl (Honorary Chairman of the ETG, Neuburg/Donau), Peter Langemeyer (Professor of German Literary and Cultural History, Østfold), Stefan Neuhaus (Professor of Literary Studies, Koblenz), Michael Pilz (Assistant Professor and Head of the Innsbruck Institute). Newspaper archive, Innsbruck), Kirsten Reimers (literary critic and editor, Hamburg), Christiane Schönfeld (Head of the Department of German Studies and Professor for DaF & German-language literature/culture at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick), Veronika Schuchter (literary scholar and critic, Innsbruck) and Irene Zanol (literary scholar and mediator, Vienna/Innsbruck).
